Why do I play Scrabble?
My goal is to learn new vocabulary. I should say:"our goal is to learn English!" In fact, we play in English to help us find and learn new words.
When I found a word, I open my dictionary and look at words that have the same roots or are relevant or even those which look like but have nothing to do with it.
We play Scrabble to learn English, it is not a contest. The goal is to help each other. If we have fun in addition, that's great!
If everybody can remember only ten per-CENT - hi Julie, what do you think about my prononciation? - of the words we played, that's neat!
I do not care who win, I do not care who lose. I just want to learn and to have fun in learning!
