One of the most helpful activities for ESL students is to join an English Reading Group. Each week, members of the discussion group take a turn reading part of the book aloud. Next, I give suggestions for improving pronunciation and we discuss any questions about words and phrases that are difficult to understand. Then we discuss our opinions and reactions to what we have read.
