Our English Placement Test is for your own enjoyment, and to help you measure your progress as you improve your English. Once you have purchased the test, it is yours forever! You may repeat the test without any further charge as you improve your English to see if you have reached a new level. (There must be at least 90 days between repeats of the test.)

The really fun part of taking this test is that on the 1st Saturday of each month, the students who have taken this test get together for our "party", which is 90 minutes of free conversation. People can come and go if they're busy, or you may stay for the entire 90 minutes. This happens every month, and you can come every time, as long as you have taken the test at least once.

You will receive an email lesson each day, teaching you four new words. You will learn what part of speech the word is, synonyms (other words that mean the same thing) and antonyms (words that have the opposite meaning). There are example sentences and pronunciation tips. Each lesson also includes an Inky Pinky and a riddle. (You'll have to look at them to see what this is.)

The next section includes review of the words already learned, some exercises with small, common words that you already know, and the answers to the previous day's lesson.

It will probably take you about 15 minutes each day to do the lesson. The fun little things at the end might take a little longer, but I think you'll enjoy them. I am hoping that you will all make this lesson part of your daily routine, because being able to find the right word to express yourself is extremely important.

You may choose an option with no monthly discussion, and just work on your own. Or you may choose the option with a monthly discussion, which will include games and prizes.

Some students have asked to have all of their emails corrected, even casual emails they send me asking questions about one thing or another. Not everyone is comfortable joining the forum or having their corrections be public as is in the forum. I completely understand, and I'm happy to now offer email writing corrections. The system works just like the forum corrections; you only pay $.10 USD per mistake.
