family

Develop your English family!

Of course, the last lesson was about actual families, with relatives who are related by blood or marriage. But many of you belong to our English family, too. We talk about many things, read books together, and sometimes even visit each other in person!

This week and next, Pam has made some times available for free English discussions. These are 15-minute discussions for anyone who has not talked with Pam before. There will be no charge, and you can talk about anything you like. If you have some friends that would like to have a chance to speak with a native English tutor who is patient and will help them instead of judging them, please forward this newsletter to them.

Also, there is a new English reading discussion! Some people have heard references to Biblical characters and stories in TV dramas and books. They want to learn more about these stories so they can better understand the context of these people and events.

Here is the description of the new reading discussion:
This English Book Reading Discussion will use online text, so there's no book to purchase. If you want to learn about well-known stories, such as David and Goliath, Noah's Ark, Moses and the Red Sea, and others, please join us in this discussion!

This discussion will be each Saturday at 2:00 pm in European countries, and in 9:00 pm in Japan. One person is already planning on these weekly classes. I'm sure she'd like others to join her!

And now, here are the quizzes about Families!
