| By Cornelius Lamper (grandfather of Julie Mockerman) |
|
| Author | Yerseke |
|
This book was written several years ago by Cornelius Lamper. "Neil" was married to Rose Bosch, and had two children, Neil and Margaret. He worked in an office in Grand Rapids for several years, was a Sunday School teacher of both children and adults, and was a church organist. He built countless melodians and organs, and at one time built a harpsichord. He was an avid reader, and developed a very extensive knowledge on several subjects. At his funeral, the most commonly heard remark was that he was always so interesting to visit with and listen to. He was very interested in family history, and left behind this book of stories for those of us who share in that history. The book is recreated here exactly as "Grandpa" wrote it. Several pictures are referred to. Some he included, some have been added, and some that are referred to are not available. So the story begins... |

The Author"Events in the Lamper Family mostly before the year 1900, in the town of Yerseke, Netherlands. These stories are all true and they are told as I remember them and as they were told to me by my parents and other members of the family." |

1-YersekeYerseke is a very old town. Just when it was established is not known, but in the history of the Netherlands, of which I have a copy, it mentions that during the war with Spain in the 1500 period, troops landed there by sea. |
