Amy: "OK, Arthur, but let me just tell you something first. I’m so excited about tonight’s party! It took me all day to make the food. I have enough for 30 people. It’s going to be so much fun!"

Arthur: "Yea…about the party. I’m not able to make it."

Amy: "Oh, no! Why?"

Arthur: "Mr. Johnson just told me that there’s a mandatory meeting tonight to discuss tomorrow’s election. I can’t imagine what he wants to talk to us about, but I’m required to attend. I’m so sorry, Amy. I’ll make it up to you, I promise."
