Amy: "I know, but all of the food on that buffet table was fantastic! I am so full, I guess my eyes were bigger than my stomach."

Arthur: "Well, I'm glad you enjoyed your meal, dear. I enjoyed spending this time with you."

a pretty penny = very expensive

my eyes were bigger than my stomach = everything looked very appetizing,
but the amount of food was too much for the size of the stomach
