if I were you

Amy: "You know, Arthur, this week has made me really tired! I don't feel like doing anything!"

Arthur: "I know what you mean, Amy. I'm tired, too. But if I'm going to finish everything I need to do today, I'd better get moving!"

Amy: "Well, if you're tired, I'd take a nap first if I were you. That's what I'm going to do!"

I'd better get moving = I need to stop relaxing and begin to do my work

if I were you = an expression which usually follows some advice
