I wouldn't know

Mr. Johnson: "Arthur, may I please have a word with you?"

Arthur: "Sure, Mr. Johnson. What is this about?"

Mr. Johnson: "Do you know who might have taken my golf clubs out of my office closet?"

Arthur: "Sorry, Mr. Johnson. I wouldn't know."

Have a word with you = Speak to you privately

I wouldn't know = I have no way of knowing the answer
